I have been “horse crazy” ever since I can remember. I spent my childhood at one barn or another. I just could not get enough of the creatures. My passion for horses led me to William Woods University where I graduated with an Equestrian Science degree. During my time at William Woods I discovered another passion, photography. I bought my first camera, enrolled in photography classes, and found another new favorite activity! Upon graduation I began working as a riding instructor for Lenux Stables in North Carolina. At Lenux I worked together with their youth club to raise money for charities with my equine portraiture. The photos were stunning and grew quickly in popularity.
From one coast to another, now I am working as a riding instructor in Atherton, California. I love my job as an instructor. I get to work with horses (of course) and also some truly amazing and inspiring people. I have tinkered around with my equine and family portraiture for the past several years, and I am excited to be expanding my opportunities as a photographer and as a horse lover.
Capturing people’s love for horses through photography is a very fun and rewarding experience. Its not every day you can get dressed up in “normal people” clothes, put on makeup, do your hair, and then go to the barn for a photo shoot! I would love to hear about you and your horse and would be happy to help you capture special moments that you will cherish for a lifetime!
